Upcoming Webinar: Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation and the Center of Excellence

Date and Time: Thursday, April 27th, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. ET

Description: In anticipation of National Children's Mental Health Awareness Day: May 4, 2017, the Center of Excellence for Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation (IECMHC) invites you to learn more about an approach that has been shown to strengthen child-serving programs and social and emotional outcomes for young children. This webinar will explore the practice of IECMHC and how the Center of Excellence is supporting states, tribes and communities. We will share our new Toolbox, our work with 14 pilot sites, and our plans to provide technical assistance to practitioners and stakeholders.

The Center was established by SAMHSA and its federal partners, HRSA and ACF, in 2015, to promote mental health and school readiness. In this webinar, we will help you better understand how our approach differs from other mental health strategies and services and the impact it is having on the lives of young children and families.

Who Should Attend: This Webinar is intended for stakeholders and practitioners in the fields of early care and education and home visiting, and state or tribal leaders in child- and family-serving agencies who are interested in learning more about Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation and how it can improve outcomes for children and programs. It is also intended for those who are currently working on IECMHC programs. Please feel free to forward this invitation to anyone who may be interested in attending.
